Eco-Tour Information

A typical pre or post hunt tour in South Africa with Pieter Kriel Wildlife Safaris, in conjunction with Jim Hackiewicz.

We know that on arrival you will be somewhat jet-lagged and therefore prefer not to travel too far. The first day is spent in Pretoria, Capital City of South Africa, doing some sight seeing of different landmarks and places of interest in and around the city.

The first night is spent in a comfortable country hotel, followed the next morning by a walk in an area where a variety of animals can be seen. These animals include zebra, impala, giraffe, blue wildebeest (gnu), and some others. To make the day slightly more cheerful, walking in the company of three African elephants is highly recommended!

Time for shopping at the local traditional market is a must. Curios of different sizes and shapes abound. There will be something for everybody back home! If you like shopping malls, we have a huge one to tempt you with. Should you wish to invest in gold or diamonds, it can also be arranged.

After a shopping spree, we head out of the city limits for a two-hour drive to a game lodge, on the perimeter of the bushveld. On arrival we head out on a game drive in an open vehicle in time for a sun downer (in South Africa it means having a drink while watching the sun set). Back at the lodge you will be treated to a meal that will have your taste buds begging for more.

The following morning early, just after having coffee/tea and rusks (a local delicacy), we head out for another game viewing session. Back at the lodge, breakfast is served. After breakfast, we head out to our Lodge, your premium hunting destination where you will have the hunt of a lifetime!

We look forward to be of service to you.

What we include in your daily rates:

  • Accommodation
  • All meals
  • Soft drinks
  • Alcoholic beverages (in moderation)
  • All entry fees
  • The services of a fully qualified guide
  • Transfer to our Lodge

What we exclude:

  • Travel- and medical insurance
  • Items of a personal nature
  • Films
  • Gratuities

The cost per day is $225.00 to $250.00 USD per day/per person for the days which will include an overnight. The last day when dropped at the lodge or back at the airport is $150.00 USD per person. We can also arrange tours at the same rate to Kruger Park for as many days as desired. I would strongly recommend 5 days for this trip because of the travel to the north end of the park. This is a huge park with all the big five in abundance. We can provide plenty of references from past guests including families with children.
